A quick search will bring up quite positive results, with most members having photos (you can also filter out those who don’t) and you should receive a decent number of matches for people in your area. When searching you will be presented with a series of avatars, their photo, age, location and a bit about them. This makes it easy to quickly scan through the members and get to the ones you’re most interested in.

The site’s presentation is a bit of a letdown; a series of hyperlinks in a side bar and top bar, which quickly become generic and indistinguishable at a glance. Clicking on any sort of communication with a member, if you’ve not paid a membership, also takes you to their secure payment page. You cannot see a photo in any detail (you can only see the thumbnail for free) or chat to them without first having paid for the privilege. The help section has a long list of frequently asked questions but no search function. Again, it’s organised in a list of hyperlinks under standard headings, which makes finding an answer to a simple question a bit of a reading test.

If you do decide to pay for using youcangetme.com then there are a few packages available to offer a service which should suit most pockets. The free access suggests that you might become inundated with winks and chat messages, which could be a positive thing, though be wary of which ones are real and which are automated. Even blank profiles without a picture seem to get attractive men and women winking at them and messaging them, which seems suspicious.

Overall youcangetme seems a standard dating site with a couple of nice features. It’s not the easiest site to move around, though, and the consistent pressure to sign up and potential fake-IDs messaging you could be a turn off. There seem to be enough real people on there, though, some of whom are surely looking for someone like you.
