Search for UK dating and you may not notice Parship.co.uk, but it’s a company that has been built up over 10 years and maintained itself in a massive market against the big players out there. It’s a dog with a lot of bite.

The most impressive (in fact it’s quite astonishing) feature of Parship.co.uk is its compatibility test. This is a 15 to 20 minute test which asks you to perform a number of tasks. The first section is a series of questions on what you like to do, how you would handle a situation and your general thoughts on things that happen in life. The second part asks you to choose between two pictures to decide which is most pleasing to you (but not to think about it for too long). The final part asks you to choose what comes to mind when you see a picture, and then to answer a few more questions about the sort of person you think you are. This is all professionally done and gives a great idea of the sort of person you would be best matched with. Later, when you go to view profiles, Parship.co.uk suggests people which would match your personality, appreciations and views on life. It’s a great and fascinating way to meet people with whom you want a real connection, and hope to have a long and loving relationship with.

Although you won’t be able to view members’ photos until you’ve become a premium member, you are able to upload photos of up to 10MB, an exceptionally high amount for a dating website. This is indicative of a site that is interested in building up a quality service, not necessarily a massive databank of clients who never use their profiles. Searching is also a positive part of Parship.co.uk as premium members can refine their searches based on quite a number of specifics, though the main route through which you’re likely to find romance is through its matching systems. Since every member has completed the compatibility tests you can be sure that, unless they lied, the matches that Parship.co.uk brings up are likely to be people you will get on with. You won’t find yourself paired with someone who has completely different beliefs or drives in life; in fact unless you specifically choose to, these sorts of people won’t appear on your radar. Being able to see when other members are online is also helpful because it means you can get chatting immediately and not have to wait days or even weeks for a response.

Most of the members on Parship.co.uk are professionals. If you’re specifically looking for a professional partner then this is an extra bonus, though it’s not a necessity for everyone. The site does ask how much each member earns, which is somewhat unromantic but perhaps quite realistic given that a lot of people want to maintain a certain lifestyle. But all of this in depth knowledge about every member and then recommending who you would be best matched to could have its downside: it seems a bit robotic. Sometimes the best people in your life are the ones who are most different from you and are willing to take you outside of your comfort zone. This is your decision, though, and Parship.co.uk is less about finding people based on spontaneous flirtation as it is on providing the assistance to find people who you’re likely to have a long term relationship with. It doesn’t have many features, either, other than articles to read, which might not be to everyone’s taste but frankly the compatibility system is so good that we found it hard to give the features a lower mark.
