Singles365 is a cheerful and professional looking site which isn’t pushy when it comes to adding information to your account. Its sign up is simple in the first instance (for a free profile and to browse members) and it’s not difficult to find your way around, but there are a number of improvements it could make to stand out from the crowd in the right way.

We say “the right way” because there have been reports of problems processing payments or charging too much in the past. Singles365 don’t appear to have broadcast much about this and hopefully these cases are few. Some users have also reported that there are false profiles set up, but in reality it’s probably bad luck that they tried the system and it didn’t work out for them. The number of members is relatively high at 3.5 million, though it’s not clear whether these members are all in the UK or further afield. There is a definite focus on the UK, though, and for those who are interested singles365 also has sister websites which offer mature or adult dating. The system for these sites is much the same so the learning curve for browsing all three is relatively low.

What else, then? Well singles365 has the usual features but it could definitely benefit from a more detailed search. The only real method of sorting seems to be by age, location and whether or not a member has a photo or is online. This doesn’t necessarily make it the most romantic or interesting of dating sites, given that others allow you to search by interest or keyword. There are also a few ads on the site and though they’re not massively distracting they do divert the gaze somewhat and remove the sense of a highly refined, professional outfit. A one month paid membership is pretty expensive but gets much more reasonable when purchasing longer trial periods, and with a maximum of 500kb for a photo you aren’t getting the best quality pictures on your profile to advertise yourself. Profiles cover the basic information and let you type a little bit about yourself but they are all very similar looking so seem quite sterile.

Everything considered, singles365 has a decent list of members given its UK focus, but it needs to do more to feel as though it has any sense of adventure. Negative reports are worrying, particularly when it’s quite pricey to sign up for a short period of time, but it does offer mature and adult dating options which might be of interest to some.
